Diwali Bang Samsung Note 8
Last year was a dismal year for Samsung because of the complete and total debacle of the Note 7. But it promises to be back with a bang with its new flagship Note 8. It is aimed at the high end discerning consumer and is priced at Rs. 67,990.
Exciting technological features:
It has an infinity display which gives the display a never-ending and larger feel. In India, it is powered by the Exynos 889 processor. It has a 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage (expandable) and has a 3300 mAh battery. The camera remains excellent with a 12MP + 12 MP setup in which both have optical image stabilization.
To add to the above, it has a dedicated Bixby voice assistant button. Another key feature of the Note series, the S-Pen is also present which is water-resistant as well.
Market share and revenue:
Expectations are high from the Note 8 with revenue in 2017 in India expected to touch double digits. To retain the existing base of Samsung users, they have been provided with an app on their existing handset whereby they can see the value of their current instrument for exchange and update. Cashify is the upgrade partner.
Response to the new launch:
A quarter of a million registrations have already been made with Amazon, Samsung’s own online store, and other offline retail stores. Customers who have booked the device will start getting it soon after the auspicious festival of Navratri as shipping will begin from Navratri.
Customers booking it through Amazon and other offline retail stores will just have to pay Rs.2000 as the booking amount while those booking it through the Samsung online retail store will have to pay the full amount.
The Noida factory of Samsung has adequate capacity to fulfill the expected demands and is geared up to working full-time.
